Villa la Costa dates back to the 15th century and is steeped in history. Carmignano is indeed famous for its vineyards and also for its olive oil. This is a beautiful villa, elegantly furnished and the master bedroom has original 17th century affrescoes. It is however completely adapted to modern day living with satellite tv, electronic entrance gate, a wonderfully well equipped kitchen and screens on all windows. From the pool you can enjoy views over Brunelleschi’s Dome in Florence! The owner’s son lives in an apartment below the villa and is an expert horse rider and can take you on some interesting horseback excursions in this wonderful setting. Keen golfers may be interested to know that there is an 18 hole golf course (Le Pavoniere) nearby (8km) and this course was designed by the one and only Arnold Palmer.
