Talamone is set in the “Parco della Maremma” nature reserve on the Mediterranean sea just 26km south of Grosseto and just under two hours driving time from Rome/airport. It has its own harbour and the town of course has shops, bars, restaurants, banks.
The villa is located up in the hills in a residential area with a total of 6 villas, all with breathtaking views over the sea. There is a private parking area for cars and 36 wide stone steps lead down to the entrance to the villa , these steps are communal for access to the villas. These villas are of course summer homes for the Milanese and so you are only likely to see them occupied during the month of August when they retreat here to escape the heat !
From the villa there is a staircase that leads down to the sea but this is not for the faint of heart as a lot of energy will be required for the ascent. The beach is rocky and there is no sand…..
The villa is characterised by the large terrace where it is thought you will spend most of your time enjoying this special outdoor life with the amazing sunrises and sunsets and views over the nearby islands of Giglio, Elba and Giannutri. So that nothing can go amiss the owner has a 40ft yacht available for rental so that you can either choose to spend your time cruising the Mediterranean for a full week and those adventurous enough can also sleep on board (4 pax) !
The accommodation comprises :
Entrance into living room with open fireplace and French windows onto the main terrace and small dining area possibly for breakfast, a door leads off into the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, American coffee making machine, toaster, fridge with small freezer.
Another door leads off to the sleeping quarters where there are :
1 single bedroom, a master bedroom with en suite facilities with shower and French door onto the side terrace, another double bedroom with French windows onto the same terrace, 1 small bedroom with two single beds that is suitable for two children or just 1 adult, 1 twin bedded room with French doors to the far side terrace, there are a futher 3 bathrooms with shower and a large store room with a large fridge freezer, washing machine cum laundry room.
