Set atop a small hamlet with just 6 houses, the last part of the drive (uphill on dirt track road with quite a few hair pin bends) may have you a bit worried but when you reach this Paradise on earth you will be glad you made the effort because the hospitality you receive will be second to none. Time luckily has stood still here and perfectly preserved this haven of well being and relax. The accommodation is on two floors, ground floor with open plan living area with dining room and fully equipped cooking area (gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher)
1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedded room, 1 bathroom with bath and hand held shower) On the first floor there is another cooking area and dining room, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room, 1 bathroom with shower. There is also a separate laundry room with washing machine. A separate building to the rear provided also a studio apartment with pull out divan bed, separate bathroom with shower. The main point of coming here is to enjoy the outdoor with panoramic views over the Montalcino vineyards, the fauna and the flora. Carlo (Marina’s husband) has plans to build a pool which at the moment have not yet been realised but he could still surprise us for next season !!
If you need to leave this haven, then 3km downhill is Murlo, the original home to the Etruscans, Tuscany’s foremost inhabitants with a Museum, good eating holes and then on to Vescovado di Murlo for small shops, bar, petrol station and then 25km into Siena. Within easy reach are Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulicano.
