As the villa is just 20km from Siena with easy access if you want to take in the delights of the famous Palio horse race run in Siena on 2/7 and 16/8 the owners just happens to own an apartment with windows overlooking Piazza del Campo where the horse race is run ! Here you can delight in watching the pomp and ceremony while shaded from the heat of the Tuscan sun and be served cocktails too ! An extra charge, payable locally of Euro 3000 lets you enjoy this unique and rare opportunity. We advise booking well in advance.
The house is a series of mazes with doors opening onto unexpected exits and entrances ! You’ll be amazed ! The ground floor comprises a unique and spectacular country style kitchen, dining room, cloakroom, extensive living area with beautiful open fireplace, 3 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with twin beds, 2 bathrooms. The first floor comprises a beautiful living/dining/breakfast room with all kitchen facilities, an outdoor exit, 2 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with twin beds and a very romantic open fireplace, 2 bathrooms, 1 with shower, 1 with bath, a further bedroom with a single bed and which has a pull out bed below should there be two children (max teenagers) in the group. Opening another door you are in another suite with double bedroom, bathroom with shower and small living area. To reach the final bedrooms (1 double, 1 with twin beds) you need to exit the house and go up an external staircase which opens into a spectacular living/dining area, 1 bathroom with shower.
Within easy reach are Pienza, San Gimignano, Montalcino and the very famous Abbey of Monte Oliveto where today you can still hear the Gregorian chants of the Monks who run this abbey.
