Casa Marisa is a restored Tuscan farmhouse set in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine producing estate. The main business of the estate is indeed the production of Chianti wine and Extra vergine olive oil. Here you will feel at home, Marisa and her husband Paolo and their extended family (son, daughters, grandchildren and now a great grandchild live on the estate on the ground floor while the accommodation on offer is on the first floor with separate entrance. There are 4 extra large double bedrooms (two indeed have space for an extra bed ), 3 have en suite bathrooms with showers, there a further two bathrooms with shower, a beautiful formal dining room, a kitchen with all modern appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, American coffee making machine, toaster) a small living area with stairs up to a loft where there is a further double bedroom and bathroom with shower (we don’t recommend occupancy during July and August when it may be too hot!).
There is no pool however there is a very relaxing garden area with lawn furnished with table and chairs for relaxation.
The other plus point is the excellent cuisine ………with prior notice Marisa can prepare informal dinners which are eaten in her ground floor dining room with French windows onto the garden and where there is also a very efficient barbecue and meals are enjoyed with the various members of the large family present .
A very central location : Pianella 3km (bank, small shops, post office, petrol station, all the Chianti wine producing villages (Gaiole, Radda, Castello di Ricasoli) within a half an hour’s drive,
Siena 12km, Florence 70km, San Gimignano 40km., Assisi 80km.
